Antler Earrings...

I dug out a pair of earrings to wear today that I haven't worn in YEARS! I love them but don't wear them when I have to be on the phone because the post sticks me in the head. Yikes!

This pair of earrings I purchased from Kaylene LeClair when Shirley & I still owned the cafe down at Riverton Livestock Auction--before 1998 when I went to work full-time at RHS.  I think that Kaylene actually painted the design.  They are deer antlers and look great with lots of things...I'll have to remember to wear them more often!

two days left in 2010

I'm turning into my mother..."I just don't know where the time goes...I look up and another year is gone"

Had a very busy day today!  Opened presents with my 3 y/o niece and nephew (what a great time), got a hair cut, worked 1/2 day at WWPS, and then had a wonderful dinner at The Bull with my family!

Carla will be getting the earrings I wore today--she loved them (I do too but don't wear them very often) so she can add them to her jewelry wardrobe.  The bracelet pictured here is a new one from my Initial Outfitters business called "Fruit of the Spirit"...engraved with words that we all should incorporate into our lives more and more:  Kindness, Joy, Peace, Self-Control, Patience, Humility, Goodness, Love, & Gentleness.

Christmas 2010

Today I got to wear the necklace & earring set that my dad bought for me at the CWC Foundation's Oktoberfest.  I had been coveting the piece while it was in our office before the event and Dad made sure I got it that night!  I'm such a spoiled "Daddy's Girl" and not afraid to admit it!  My dad is very good to all his girls! :)  Thanks Dad and Mom (I know she played a part in it too).

A great Christmas was had at the Jeffres' house...relaxing time spent with family and friends!  What a holiday should be!  Only thing that would have been better is if my sisters and their families could have been here too!  This way we get to drag out the celebration though!  I hope you and yours all had a blessed Christmas!

Christmas Eve

I almost forgot to post my jewelry for Christmas Eve.  Dawn gave me a beautiful glass angel fish pendant on a ribbon necklace as a Christmas gift and that's what I wore today!  I'm glad I hadn't put on any jewelry (other than earrings) when I went out to WWPS to work.  Thanks for the gorgeous necklace Dawn!

Last day at work for 2010!

I have a great job...rewarding because I get to help students go to college and help donors who want to "pay it forward" and help others...I also am spoiled rotten because I get to take advantage of the same holidays that the college's employees get!  Thank you to the CWC Foundation Board of Directors for being such great bosses! :)

Today I got a wonderful new necklace & earring set from Susan for Christmas!  I LOVE the new jewelry!  She did a great job of picking it out...just what I would have picked for myself.  Thank you my friend!

December 21

Wire wrapped beads and natural stones...I've looked and looked for more of these wire-wrapped beads so I could make some items to go with this necklace but to no avail.  Guess I'll have to figure out how to make some of my own!  This necklace never fails to get lots of compliments...

More sculpture to wear...

I tried the "Sculpture to Wear" necklace as a necklace today...several people had to take it and try it as well.  It certainly causes lots of compliments and makes people want to play with the piece.  Think I'd better buy a couple more to have on hand.

Christmas party!!

Dinner at the Depot was how we celebrated the season with the crew from Wild West Powersports!  We all laughed, ate, laughed some more!  Everyone ate too much but had a great time.

Last Friday of work at CWC for 2010

I love my job!  We are so spoiled with holidays...today was the last Friday of work for this calendar year.

Multi-colored pearls in tones of green and gold earrings and a sparkly bracelet were my choices today...

Sculpture to wear

Today I experimented with the new sculpture to wear piece from Initial Outfitters, a green pendant with "L" engraved on it and my chocolate & avacado pearl necklace.

I chose to wear the sculpture to wear necklace as a bracelet...something a bit different.  It's a very fun piece!

Garage sale find...

This necklace was a garage sale find several summers ago...very sixties/seventies in style!

15 days....

Mother of pearl pendant with my initials, silver "Tada" earrings, and a beaded bracelet that was a gift from Mom combined for my jewelry choices today.

December special...

Today I modeled one of the December specials from Initial Outfitters...brown wooden seed beeds with silver seed beeds as well.  Great necklace!

Pearl Harbor Day

As I went to work this morning and drove up Main Street, the flags had been put out by our local members of the VFW.  It's always a touching sight to see...a tribute to those who served and those who are still serving to keep us free.  Thank you!

Dec 6

I had to steal the image of this necklace from I/O because I couldn't get a good picture of it myself!  :)

Relaxing Sunday

After a busy day yesterday, I tried to catch up on chores around the house and do a little relaxing.  It was a great day!

I didn't even put on any jewelry today!  I know...I know...don't fall over!  It happens once in a great while!

Pictures with Santa

Our annual Beta Sigma Phi Xi Pi fundraiser was today...I spent most of the day taking pictures of Santa at the local Knights of Columbus craft fair at St. Margaret's gym.  As usual, Santa did a great job and was a huge hit with most of the kids and lots of adults.  Some of the kids weren't convinced that Santa was cool but most couldn't wait to see him.

While at the craft fair today, my friend Netta Bell (who has the coolest jewelry) stopped by and introduced her friend to us all.  He seemed very nice.  While she was standing there, I commented on her GORGEOUS  black & silver necklace.  She took it off and gave it to me on the spot!  I almost cried...what a generous spirit.  I certainly didn't comment on it with the intention of her giving it to me but I wore it proudly and LOVE the piece.  Thank you so much NB!

Jewelry party....

My friend Debbie hosted a great party tonight for my Initial Outfitters business...she had a houseful of women who had fun trying on new jewelry, scouring the catalogs, finding out that while they all knew Debbie...they may not have known each other.  It's always fun to watch the dynamics of a party unfold. :)  I had a gift for Debbie all wrapped up in a pretty jewelry box...when she opened it in front of everyone it was empty!  I almost had heart failure until I realized what had happened.  Her daughter was so efficient in assisting me when we laid everything out, she unpacked the necklace & charm and put them on the table as a display.  It's funny now but earlier it wasn't so funny!  I didn't quite know what to say when the box was empty--but neither did Debbie either.  She thought it was a joke!

I picked the black bib necklace and earrings set tonight.  It's one I hadn't worn but had tried on several times.  It lays so flat and looks so rich.

December 1st?? WOW!

I can't believe it's the first of December already! I know it seems cliche to say but holy cow...time flies by!  It seems like just yesterday it was Christmas...and here it is Christmas again!

This picture makes this necklace look black but it is blue lapis...the earrings are some I've had for a long time and the bracelet is one I don't wear often.  It seems to get buried in the jewelry box.

Only 25 days until Christmas....

I had to throw out the countdown for Tracy (she usually starts it in March!)

I came home today at lunch to two boxes from Initial Outfitters...one with the acrylic pitcher I'd ordered and one with new catalogs, three new bags, and two pieces of new jewelry!  Can't wait to wear them on Thursday for the party at Debbie's.

Today's jewelry choices were a thin silver cuff I found in the bottom of the jewelry box (when I was looking for some of my Christmas jewelry), some silver square hoop earrings and a faux pearl torsade necklace.

Another Manic Monday!

Homemade hot chocolate, watching Mike & Molly (pretty danged funny), working on some paperwork for my new business, and snuggling with the dynamic dachshund, Dazzle. What more could a gal ask for on a Monday night?

Had a great conference call for Initial Outfitters tonight...its so much fun to be part of something that is so positive.

I'm watching Lucy the silly basset lay on the floor on her back with both ears out to the side, her lip curled in a smile...she has a great lovable personality and makes me smile everyday.

The gold jewelry I picked out to wear today were pieces I hadn't worn in a long time...think I've only worn the necklace once or twice since I got it. The bracelet has seen more wearings than the necklace and earrings.

Last Sunday in November...

Where did November go?  I can't believe how quickly time goes by...you look up and a month is gone! My first month in my new business has been great fun!  This weekend wasn't terribly productive but hopefullly the many business cards, flyers, & catalogs passed out to folks will be fruitful in the future.

I have a busy week planned for the next 7 days...a dental appt, a sorority meeting, four Initial Outfitters parties, and pictures with Santa!  I think I might need a day off next week! :)

I wore the blue glass pendant today (thanks for helping me pick it out today Pamela) along with my silver flower watch & the hammered swirl silver earrings from the catalog!  Love the earrings!!! They are big but lightweight.

Slow Saturday at the Bazaar

Today was a slow day traffic-wise at the bazaar.  We managed to entertain ourselves...Pamela, Darcy, Tessa, Dan, Judy & I told stories, laughed, and joked.  Some of us even sold some things. :)

I sorted through the jewelry on my table this morning to pick a copper necklace.  It complimented my copper watch with the turquoise band and copper earrings.

Black Friday

I spent Black Friday at the Old Blackhawk Security building at the "After Thanksgiving Bazaar". It was a day full of lookers and passing out my contact information/catalogs/etc. Hopefully the new contacts will result in some new business as well.

Today's jewelry choices included silver circle hoop earrings, my silver & clear beaded watch, & silver/black monogrammed pendant.

Lots to be thankful for today....

Today is a day to count your blessings big and small.  I have so many things to be thankful for...family, friends, a great house to call home, a rewarding job (or 6), my four-legged kids, our service men & women, and this great country I live in.  What more could a gal ask for?

Char & I won the "hand & foot" game at Aunt M's after dinner.  Crystal & Aunt M made a valiant effort but the cards fell our way.  I hadn't played H&F for quite a while and had forgotten how fun it is.

Cold & windy....

Cold & windy was the name of the game today!  Holy cow!  I can't believe how cold the wind was tonight!  BRRRR...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new electric blanket!  :)  Works great!

The necklace I wore today got lots of compliments today...the guy working the counter at the post office even commented on it.  The bracelet is one I picked up at the street market in Boston and I happened to have earrings in the jewelry box that matched this necklace from my sales samples.

Busy Tuesday...

For a vacation day, I managed to fit a TON of stuff into my day...closed two parties, spent some time at WWPS, and did several loads of laundry!

Monday & Friday all in one...

Today was Monday & Friday all in one...a short work week due to the holiday and an extra day of vacation.  Susan got the three day weekend this year and I got the long holiday...just opposit of last year.  It works great when everyone can work together and give & take...

Tonight I got to enjoy the company of some very funny & interesting women at the Initial Outfitters party hosted for me by Darlene.  Darlene's home is beautiful and it was a wonderfully refreshing evening.  Thanks Darlene!  I picked jewelry out of my samples today to wear...a copper cuff, copper necklace on a black cord and copper earrings...

Sunday the 21st...

Had a very productive day today...went to breakfast at the casino with Cindy & friends, closed my first party hosted by Tara, and managed a trip to the grocery store!  Looking forward to a short week at work (all of one day!)

Gold & silver combos were the flavor of the day...

Great time tonight at Kelly's!

I got to spend a terrifc day with my friends...from a quick trip to Rock Springs and back this morning with Becky to get her new truck to a fun party tonight at Kelly's! Lots of neat ladies doing some shopping...some chatting...and of course some eating! Kelly made the BEST caramel apple cake...could have eaten two pieces!

Thanks for hosting such a successful party for me tonight Kelly! I had a great time showing off the new line of products and everyone had a good time trying on the jewelry. I modeled a silver cuff, silver tear drop earrings, a black beaded necklace with silver monogramed pendant.

TGIF!

It was a busy and productive week but I am super glad that it is Friday!!  Dawn, Grace & I went to the two craft fairs at the fair grounds tonight and then out for a girls dinner...Grace told us "I could go for some Chinese" so that's where we went!  I love the Oriental Palace's teriyaki chicken!  YUMMY!!

There were so many neat things at the craft fairs...I wish I could buy something at each booth.  What talented people we have in our community!

Today's choice in "bling" was my multi-stranded coral necklace with a black beaded necklace and hammered silver pendant.  My bracelet is a braided silver one I purchased several years ago...it has multi-toned metal hearts along the bracelet.  I haven't worn it much lately but wore it often when I first purchased it.

Envelopes and more envelopes....

Today was a day full of folding letters and stuffing envelope after envelope after envelope of letters for the Foundation's annual mailing!   It's a great project but man it seems to go on and on and on! :)

Today's jewelry choice was a monogramed silver pendant on a multi-colored and multi-stranded purple beaded necklace I've had in my jewelry box for a long time.  It was nice to dig it out and combine it with one of my new pendants.  The silver tear drop earrings are also in the new line of jewelry and are super cute and while they are substantial they are not heavy.

Wild Wednesday!

It was a wonderful Wednesday...had a fun party at my friend Pamela's.  It was a relaxed evening following a busy day!  I got to show off the chocolate pearls with one of the pendants I've had in my jewelry collection for a long time...it worked great because the bail is on a hinge so it fit over the larger pearls.  The silver cuff (looks coppery here) went well with the brown dangly beaded earrings from my collection.  Mixing old with new...

Stormy November Day...

It's raining...it's snowing...it's blowing...oh wait...the sun's shining! Typical fall storm blowing through today. It couldn't decide what to do here in Fremont County...kind of like me at work today. Tons to do but having a hard time concentrating on any ONE task. I did manage to complete several things today but it sure felt like I was just spinning circles.

I'm working to wear all my new jewelry and managed three pieces today...necklace, earrings, & bracelet. Tomorrow I think I'll pair something old and something new so I can show at Pamela's party how to pair new pieces with something you might already have in your jewelry wardrobe (and YES I realize not everyone has the stash that I have to mix and match with) :)

Big big earrings...

Today was a day for BIG OL earrings!   I love this pair of big, dangly wooden earrings.  They are kind of "gypsy-ish"
