Antler Earrings...

I dug out a pair of earrings to wear today that I haven't worn in YEARS! I love them but don't wear them when I have to be on the phone because the post sticks me in the head. Yikes!

This pair of earrings I purchased from Kaylene LeClair when Shirley & I still owned the cafe down at Riverton Livestock Auction--before 1998 when I went to work full-time at RHS.  I think that Kaylene actually painted the design.  They are deer antlers and look great with lots of things...I'll have to remember to wear them more often!

I'm turning into my mother..."I just don't know where the time goes...I look up and another year is gone"

Had a very busy day today!  Opened presents with my 3 y/o niece and nephew (what a great time), got a hair cut, worked 1/2 day at WWPS, and then had a wonderful dinner at The Bull with my family! 

Carla will be getting the earrings I wore today--she loved them (I do too but don't wear them very often) so she can add them to her jewelry wardrobe.  The bracelet pictured here is a new one from my Initial Outfitters business called "Fruit of the Spirit"...engraved with words that we all should incorporate into our lives more and more:  Kindness, Joy, Peace, Self-Control, Patience, Humility, Goodness, Love, & Gentleness.

Christmas 2010

Today I got to wear the necklace & earring set that my dad bought for me at the CWC Foundation's Oktoberfest.  I had been coveting the piece while it was in our office before the event and Dad made sure I got it that night!  I'm such a spoiled "Daddy's Girl" and not afraid to admit it!  My dad is very good to all his girls! :)  Thanks Dad and Mom (I know she played a part in it too).

A great Christmas was had at the Jeffres' house...relaxing time spent with family and friends!  What a holiday should be!  Only thing that would have been better is if my sisters and their families could have been here too!  This way we get to drag out the celebration though!  I hope you and yours all had a blessed Christmas!

Christmas Eve

I almost forgot to post my jewelry for Christmas Eve.  Dawn gave me a beautiful glass angel fish pendant on a ribbon necklace as a Christmas gift and that's what I wore today!  I'm glad I hadn't put on any jewelry (other than earrings) when I went out to WWPS to work.  Thanks for the gorgeous necklace Dawn!

Last day at work for 2010!

I have a great job...rewarding because I get to help students go to college and help donors who want to "pay it forward" and help others...I also am spoiled rotten because I get to take advantage of the same holidays that the college's employees get!  Thank you to the CWC Foundation Board of Directors for being such great bosses! :)

Today I got a wonderful new necklace & earring set from Susan for Christmas!  I LOVE the new jewelry!  She did a great job of picking it out...just what I would have picked for myself.  Thank you my friend!

Wire wrapped beads and natural stones...I've looked and looked for more of these wire-wrapped beads so I could make some items to go with this necklace but to no avail.  Guess I'll have to figure out how to make some of my own!  This necklace never fails to get lots of compliments...
